The Great Flat Lode
FRAMED, LIMITED EDITION LINOCUT PRINT - £179.00
8 prints available (8 created in total)
The majestic engine houses along the trail of The Great Flat Lode are steeped in mining history. My late father, an architect, restored many of these engine houses during the 90's to make them safe for the public. Whenever I walk the trail I am reminded of him and the love he had for these historic buildings.
Framed size: 33cm(w) X 39.5cm(h)
THE LINOCUT PLATE
The design is drawn onto the lino in reverse so that it prints the correct way onto the paper. It is then carved out ready for ink to be applied.
FRAMED WITH SPECIAL 'ART GLASS'
Artwork is framed in specialist 'UV AR (Anti Reflective) Art Glass' which greatly reduces mirror-like reflections, increases viewing clarity
and reduces fading.
ROLLING THE INK
If too little ink is applied then the print will look washed out. If too much ink is applied then the design can lose the detail when the printed onto the paper - it's tricky to judge!
ONE OF A KIND
The lino is inked, pressed onto paper and pulled by hand. This means no two prints are exactly the same so if you purchase one you're getting something special and unique!
BACK OF FRAME
Your artwork will be ready to hang with sturdy fixtures. The frames are made from white washed pine wood with a waxed finish, handmade by professional framers in Cornwall.
The artwork is named, signed, dated and numbered by myself. There are only 8 available of this design - no second print runs will be created so it truly is a limited edition print!
